Flotation mechanisms of molybdenite fines by neutral oils
The results of the flotation test show that at pH 2−11, the floatability of molybdenite fines in the presence of transformer oil is markedly better than that in the presence of kerosene and diesel oil. The addition of transformer oil, which enhances the floatability of molybdenite fines, promotes the aggregation of molybdenite particles.

Improved flotation of molybdenite from talc using a selective reagent ...
Jan 1, 2022About 99% of the metal molybdenum is derived from molybdenite (MoS 2; a sulfide mineral). Talc is one of the most common gangue minerals in molybdenite ores and is usually closely associated with the molybdenite it. Flotation is the most common method of separating talc from molybdenite.

Flotation | PDF | Chemistry | Materials Scribd
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is a water treatment process that clarifies wastewaters (or other waters) by the removal of suspended matter such as oil or solids. The removal is achieved by dissolving air in the water or wastewater under pressure and then releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank or basin.

IMPROVEMENT OF THE SELECTION TECHNOLOGY OF COPPERMOLYBDENUM ... Srce
Molybdenum concentrate is obtained by flotation. Apolar reagents are used in the process of flotation. It is known from literature sources that apolar reagents have no solidophilic group molecules in their composition and therefore do not have the ability to chemically fix on the surface of minerals. Since they are represented
